Will Kelly Clarkson Be a Judge on New Season of American Idol?

Several reports are suggesting that singer Kelly Clarkson is vying for the position of judge on the upcoming season of ‘American Idol’ – the very same show that catapulted her to superstardom in 2002.

Kelly was the very first winner of the popular singing competition back in the early 2000s and has since gone on to have a hugely successful singing career.

Now it seems that Kelly wants to return to the show, to help other hopefuls reach their American Idol dreams.

The new season of American Idol was only announced this week, after the show was initially cancelled by US television network, ABC.

However, the network made the decision to renew the show for another season.

Sources close to Kelly have said that the ‘Breakaway’ singer has expressed serious interest in becoming a judge on the show.

Some reports also suggest that Kelly’s team have already started to clear her schedule for the duration of the show.

This time around, the format for American Idol will be slightly different to previous years, where producers, crew and judges had flown from city to city to audition people.

The show will have a home base at Disney World, and people wanting to audition for the show will need to travel there to see if they can make it to the big time.
