West Indies Win ICC World Twenty20
The West Indies have claimed victory in what can only be described as one of the most thrilling Twenty20 finals in recent cricketing history.
The West Indies went up against a strong team from England and it wasn’t until the dying minutes of the game that the Windies took the trophy.
In the end it all came down to Carlos Brathwaite, who was the star of the show and secured the win for the West Indies.
Barthwaite showed off some amazing skill as he hit four successive sixes in the final over against Ben Stoke.
This was the move that secured the win for the Windies and sent the crowd roaring. England then had to watch as their dream of winning quickly and efficiently slipped out of reach.
The Windies had officially won by 4 wickets.
After the impressive and heart pounding final, the Windies of course celebrated like only they can.
Famous Windies player – that is always throwing himself in the limelight – Chris Gayle, fell to the floor and even took his shirt off as he was celebrating the win for his team.
But it was all eyes on Carlos Barthwaite that will no doubt go down in cricketing history for his unbelievable performance on Sunday.
