West Ham Waiting On Ayew’s Scan Results

August 17, 2016

English Premier League club, West Ham, is anxiously awaiting the results of newly added player, Andre Ayew’s thigh scan.

Ayew hurt his thigh in his debut for his new club in their match against Chelsea.

Ayew left the pitch in the middle of the first half, and looked as though he was in a fair amount of pain.

West Ham went on to lose the match against Chelsea, 2 – 1.

Slaven Bilic, manager of West Ham, said that they are currently waiting for the results of the thigh scan that Ayew underwent to determine how long he will be out of play:

“…[sic] Ayew has a thigh injury, he told me it’s not a big one but you never know…He will have a scan and we have to wait for the result of the scan to know how long he will be out,” he said.

West Ham face Astra Giurgui on Thursday in the first leg qualifying play-off of the Europa League.

Ayew joined West Ham from Swansea earlier in the month for a massive transfer fee of £20.5 million.
