Wes Morgan: Sad To See N’Golo Leave Leicester
Wes Morgan, captain of English Premier League side, Leicester City, has said that he is sad to see former teammate, N’golo Kante leave the club.
Kante recently signed a new transfer deal with Chelsea, for a reported fee of £32 million.
Kante was also a star performer in Leicester’s campaign last season, and the the French international helped his team win the championship with his exceptional defending skills.
Morgan said the loss of the midfielder will certainly be felt by the team, but that they are also looking forward to welcoming new players to their team:
“…I’m sure it’s expected, we won the league and the bigger teams are going to try and poach our best players…You know, as a player, you can’t really take much notice to that. We just have to do what we do best. Get on the training field, try and train and keep focus on our job,” he said.
He continued saying that it will be sad to see N’golo leave Leicester:
“…Yeah, there is going to be speculation and it’s sad to see N’Golo Kante go, but we’ve got new players in now and everyone is settled in well and we’re just training hard and looking forward to the season [sic],” he concluded.
