Wendy Williams’ Husband Apologises Amid Divorce Drama
Wendy Williams’ estranged husband has spoken out for the first time since she filed for divorce last week.
Williams married Kevin Hunter – who served as an executive producer on her eponymous talk show until he was fired recently – in 1997. Together, they share an 18-year-old son named Kevin Jr.
However, the talk show host recently filed for divorce after Hunter’s infidelities came to light. These included carrying out a long-time affair with a woman named Sharina Hudson, who gave birth last month.
In a statement released on Tuesday, 16 April, Hunter directly apologised to Williams and her fans.
He admitted that he was not ‘proud of his recent actions’, and was ‘trying to right some wrongs’ while taking ‘full accountability’ for what he had done.
Hunter added: “No matter what the outcome is or what the future holds, we are still The Hunter Family [sic], and I will continue to work with and fully support my wife in this business, and through any and all obstacles she may face living her new life of sobriety, while I also work on mine.”
