It’s great to see that despite the massive media frenzy surrounding Sony right now, the company has still maintained a great sense of humour.
Phil Lord, the director of 21 Jump Street tweeted a link to the official site for his “new project” on Saturday, December 13. The “project” starring Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis and Rihanna is called MoonQuake Lake, a spoof melodrama with a Twilight and Annie associated theme where two star crossed lovers played by real-life couple Kunis and Kutcher are brought together by the moon or something.
When you visit the website, you’re greeted with a hilariously terrible soundscape of Sia and Beck with some Caribbean influences. It fits in well with the film’s tagline, "When you have no choice, how do you choose?"
Watch the full fake trailer below where pop star Rihanna makes and appearance as some moon creature who says: "What if one night you go to the moon and there’s an asteroid or something?" — "Then I will die."
The fake film will be out in cinemas December 19 through Sony Pictures…not!
