Watch Gwen Stefani’s new music video
No Doubt singer Gwen Stefan premiered her new solo music video for her latest single, Baby Don’t Lie.
The colourful video was directed by Sophie Muller, her longtime collaborator who has done videos for No Doubt including Don’t Speak in 1996. The synth driven track features Gwen in a modern interpretation of Wizard of Oz complete with digital yellow brick road and myriad of dancers dressed in polka dots. Though it’s not the most effective video, it’s great to see Gwen back to form delivering pulsating sounds that manipulate the pop genre.
The 44-year-old singer is has previously hinted that she’s been penning songs for the follow-up to 2006’s The Sweet Escape and admitted that she’s been in-and-out of the studio with Pharrell Williams.
Pharrell, who teamed up with Gwen on her 2004 hit Hollaback Girl, believes the work the blonde beauty has done so far on her new LP is "on another level."
