Watch first footage from the new ‘Terminator’

The Terminator franchise is set to reboot next year when the new remake opens in cinemas in July 2015. The film, titled Terminator Genisys, welcomes back Arnold Schwarzenegger in the role of T-800 – a robot killing machine – and stars an array of new cast members playing well known characters from the franchise such as Sarah Conner, Kyle Reese and John Conner.

The first footage from the anticipated flick has made its way online in the form of a trailer teaser and you can check it out below. The 15-second clip is brief, of course, as it’s basically teasing the film’s upcoming trailer – set to release later tonight.

As you can see, the clip doesn’t reveal much as we see a terminator sitting on a moving cop car while being shot at. The next scene reveals what looks to be a time travel machine, followed by a view of the Earth with a number of explosions. And finally our first look of Arnie as the T-800 terminator showcasing some of his human tissue along with his endoskeleton arm with the tagline: "Tomorrow he is back."
