Warriors: The Marvellous Midfielder is Back

Midfielder, Marvelous Nakamba, is back with the Zimbabwe Warriors after his suspension from the team.

It is reported that, while Nakamba is predominantly a defensive midfielder, he can also play further forward if necessary. For this reason and many others, the Warriors are glad to have him back, especially after his noticeable absence in the opening AFCON 2017 Group B match against Algeria. His return will also lift the team’s spirit after losing top striker, Knowledge Musona, due to injury.

The 22-year-old midfielder was suspended for getting three yellow cards during the qualifiers.

Nakamba has played 59 games for Vitesse, the Dutch FC in the Netherlands, and has scored two goals and provided four assists to date. It was here where he broke the record of most successful tackles.

As fate would have it, the team’s match against Senegalese tomorrow falls on the footballer’s 23rd birthday.
