Volkswagen To Recall 8.5 Million Cars

October 16, 2015

Volkswagen’s troubles are far from over, as the German automaker has announced that it would do a total recall of all it’s affected diesel vehicles that have been built with the emissions cheating software.

For the past month, Volkswagen has been grabbing headlines with their emission scandal. Some of the company’s cars were built with an ‘emission cheating system’ that would lie about the amount of emissions coming from the car.

Yesterday, the company made the announcement that they would recall a total of 8.5 million cars across Europe – all of which have been built with the cheating software.

The recall comes after immense pressure from German regulators that have been extremely harsh on the company following the scandal.
