Volkswagen Recall Set
The big Volkswagen recall has been set for January 2016.
The company, who has come under fire for their cheating emissions software, has said that they will start to recall the large number of vehicles affected at the beginning of next year.
Volkswagen is said to have lost more than 40% of their market value after one of the biggest scandals in automotive history rocked the German automaker.
40% adds up to around US$25 billion – ons of the largest market shares drops on history, not limited to automotive companies.
Volkswagen’s new CEO, Matthias Muller, said that he hopes and believes that all the affected cars that will be recalled, will be fixed by the end of 2016 – thus giving the comopany 12 months to repair the affected cars.
Muller was named Volkswagen’s new CEO two weeks ago, after former CEO, Martin Winterkorn, stepped down after the emissions scandal blew up in the media.
