Volkswagen Admits To Cheating

October 05, 2015

Engineers at the scandal-stricken German automaker, Volkswagen, has admitted that they installed a special device that cheated them out of higher carbon emission rates.

According to several sources, numerous engineers who were part of the scandal admitted to an internal investigation board that they did in fact install the ‘cheating’ software.

The scandal blew up last month when it was discovered that Volkswagen had been duping people by claiming their emissions were lower than what it actually is.

Volkswagen admitted that more than 11 million diesel vehicles across the globe has been fitted with this cheating device.

After the news of the cheating software broke, Volkswagen subsequently lost around 40% of its global market capitalisation and their CEO, Martin Winterkorn, resigned.
