Vardy To Stay With Leicester

May 11, 2016

Leicester City star, Jamie Vardy, has said that he will stay with his club for the next season, amidst rumours that offers are rolling in for the star footballer.

Vardy, who also plays for England, said that he would not accept any offers from one of the bigger clubs – even if that would mean more money for the 29-year old.

This, of course, comes after Leicester’s amazing route to champions of the English Premier League. When they started their campaign, they had a 5000 – 1 chance of winning the league title.

However, miraculously, the underdogs pulled it off and last week, the title of champions was bestowed upon them.

Vardy said that he is happy where he is, and, considering his team just made it into the Champions League, he would not leave his team’s side:

“…We’ve just won the league and will be playing in the Champions League next year. I am happy here,” he told reporters.

Vardy was also voted as the Football Writers’ Player of the Year for this season.
