Tyra Banks Announced as New Host of America’s Got Talent
Retired supermodel and ‘smize’ queen, Tyra Banks, has been announced as the new host of one of the world’s most famous talent shows, ‘America’s Got Talent.’
The news of Tyra’s appointment as host of the popular show comes just after news broke that long-time host of the programme, Nick Cannon, will be leaving the show.
Cannon explained that his decision to leave the show was completely his own, and that he was not asked to leave.
He said that he started to feel that his creativity and artistry was being restricted, and thus had to take a break from hosting, after eight years with the show.
“When people start to put restraints on my creativity, as an artist, I just have to stand on my square and stand for something,” he said.
As for Tyra, the former talk show host seems excited to step into the AGT ring. She does have experience, after all.
Tyra created and hosted the super popular model search competition show, ‘America’s Next Top Model’.
Banks also said that she is excited to “connect with the dreamers” on the show.
