Tyler, the Creator Blasts Disrespectful Fans
Tyler, the Creator had some very strong words about the fans who booed fellow rapper, Drake, off the stage at his sixth annual Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in Los Angeles, California.
Drizzy – who appeared as the surprise headlining act at the festival on Sunday, 10 November – reportedly cut his set short after 20 minutes when the audience showered him with boos.
Apparently, festival-goers acted hostile towards the “Nonstop” hitmaker because they believed that singer Frank Ocean was going to be the headliner instead.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, 11 November, Tyler aired his grievances about the rude crowd in a series of expletive-laden tweets.
He wrote: “I thought bringing one of the biggest artist [sic] on the … planet to a music festival was fire! But flipside, a lil tone deaf [sic] knowing the specific crowd it drew. Some created a narrative in their head and acted out … when it didnt [sic] come true.”
After comparing the frosty reception to “mob mentality and cancel culture in real life”, the “Igor” rapper also thanked Drake, who reportedly called the performance a “humbling experience”.
