Ty Dolla $ign Arrested on Drug Charges

Rapper Ty Dolla $ign has been arrested for the alleged possession of cocaine and marijuana.

The 33-year-old rapper – whose real name is Tyrone William Griffin Jr. – was detained by police in Atlanta on Wednesday afternoon, hours before he was scheduled to perform a concert at the Cellairis Amphitheatre at Lakewood.

Ty Dolla $ign was travelling in a limousine with six others when the police pulled over the vehicle. Using sniffer dogs to search the limousine, the police reportedly found both marijuana and cocaine.

The “Sucker For Pain” rapper is now being held in the Fulton County Jail. The six occupants travelling with him were released without charges.

Ty Dolla $ign is set to appear today at a court hearing.
