‘There Are Things I Can’t Say Otherwise I’ll Get Fined’ – Pogba
Paul Pogba has admitted that he cannot reveal his true feelings about his stay at Old Trafford otherwise he’ll face a possible backlash.
The midfielder fell out of favour during the 2017-18 campaign, following a tense relationship with manager Jose Mourinho, and is now reported to be so unhappy that he has informed the clubs’ executive vice-chairman of his desire to leave.
United have denied the move after it was reported that his agent, Mino Raiola, had struck a deal with Barcelona.
Pogba returned to training last week and was included in the starting line-up of the opening-day match, and given the captain’s armband, which he referred to as a dream come true.
The Frenchman scored the penalty that led to a 2-1 win against Leicester and was praised by Mourinho for his performance.
However, during a post-match interview, Pogba hinted that he’d be sanctioned if he spoke the truth about tensions between him and Mourinho, he said: “There are things that I cannot say otherwise I will get fined.”
