Thamsaqa Mahlangu Dies
Ex Zimbabwean Minister, Thamsaqa Mahlangu, has died.
Deputy Treasurer, Chalton Hwende, announced on Monday that Mahlangu had passed away on the early hours of the morning.
It is not yet clear as to what was the official cause of Mahlangu’s death, but Hwende said that he had been gravely ill for an extended period of time. He also concluded that he passed away in a private hospital this morning.
Mhlangu was also a former MDC-T national youth assembly chairman. National spokesperson for the MDC-T said that Mahlangu was a great minister and a ‘fighter for democracy’.
Some sources claim that Mahlangu has been admitted to hospital a little over two months ago and that he had died of cancer. However, these allegations could not be verified.
There has also been no news on funeral arrangements for Mahlangu.
