March 10, 2020

Jailed rapper, Tekashi 6ix9ine, is set to become a free man when he is released from prison later this year.

Last December, the 23-year-old – real name Daniel Hernandez – pleaded guilty to nine counts of federal racketeering, weapons-related offenses, and conspiracy involving the infamous gang, Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

The “Scumlife” hitmaker was sentenced to two years in prison and five years of supervised release. So far, he has served 16 months of his sentence.

Now, according to reports, Tekashi 6ix9ine will be released on 2 August this year. Both the Bureau of Prisons’ Public Affairs department and his attorney, Lance Lazzaro, confirmed the release date.

Dawn Florio, another member of the rapper’s legal team, explained to a media outlet: “The reason why [Tekashi 6ix9ine is] getting released early is because he’s the perfect model prisoner.”

As a result, Tekashi 6ix9ine will remain on supervised release for five years. Additionally, he will have to complete 300 hours of community service and pay a $35 000 fine.
