Taylor Swift Announces New Album: The Life of a Showgirl
Taylor Swift has revealed her highly anticipated 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl”.
The surprise announcement came during an appearance on her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, sending fans into a frenzy of excitement on Monday, 11 August. Swift’s new offering is now available for pre-order through her website, though the official release date remains under wraps.
The upcoming body of work follows the 35-year-old singer’s monumental success with “The Tortured Poets Department”, which set new streaming milestones and earned widespread acclaim.
In recent months, Swift has also taken control of her music catalog, purchasing the rights to her first six albums after a long dispute with her former record label, Big Machine Records. She has since re-recorded and released four of those albums under the label, Taylor’s Version.
After wrapping up her record-breaking “Eras” tour in December 2024, Swift is now focusing on her new music, which fans are eagerly awaiting. The songstress’ recent achievements include becoming a billionaire, with her “Eras” tour contributing over £1 billion to the British economy.
Swift’s latest album marks another milestone in what has been an incredible chapter in her career.
