“Supernatural” Star Arrested on Assault, Intoxication Charges

Actor Jared Padalecki has been arrested for allegedly striking two people at a Texan bar early on Sunday morning, 27 October.

The 37-year-old actor – who is well-known for playing Sam Winchester in the long-running television series, “Supernatural” – was reportedly in an inebriated state at the Stereotype Lounge in Austin, Texas, when he allegedly struck a bartender in the face.

He was also supposedly involved in a separate altercation with the bar’s general manager, whom he also struck in the face.

In a bid to calm him down, a friend took Padalecki outside, only for the actor to put him into a headlock.

Eyewitnesses claim that the “Supernatural” star flashed a wad of cash at police officers, before he was taken into custody on two counts of assault and one count of public intoxication.

Padalecki – who, in the mid-afternoon, was released from an Austin jail after posting bail – is expected to appear in court at an unspecified later date.
