Sundowns’ Mphahlele Out For 2 Months

January 13, 2016

South African premier league team, Mamelodi Sundowns, will have to cope without their captain for two months after he was ruled out of the game due to injury.

Mphalele was ruled out because of an ankle injury and will be out of action for approximately six to eight weeks.

The injury happened on Saturday when Mphalele and his team was playing against rival side, the Kaizer Chiefs. Mphalele went down on the 78th minute of the game and had to be substituted after.

Sundowns coach, Pitso Mosimane, said that after the injury Mphalele had to be rushed to hospital.

However, luckily Mphalele did not tear any ligaments or break any bones and would thus not have to undergo surgery, but only spend some time resting and recovering.

The Sundowns drew against the Kaizer Chiefs 0 – 0.
