Stephen Fry to marry boyfriend?
Television personality Stephen Fry is reportedly set to marry his 27-year-old lover.
Twitter has been abuzz congratulating the star after he popped the question to his boyfriend who reportedly “put a smile back on the comedian’s face”.
57-year-old Fry and Elliot Spencer have given formal notice at a register office and now have one year to become legally married.
The star has been very outspoken about his struggle with crippling depression, documented in the Emmy-Award winning Stephen Fry: The Secret Life of the Manic Depressive in 2007.
The book explored his mental illness but he has since received a new lease on life.
Daily Mail reported that the couple, who were spotted together in November, became a couple over the summer last year and have been inseperable ever since.
The star tweeted:
