Solskjaer Set to Land Permanent Man United Job
Manchester United’s caretaker-manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is tipped to become the club’s coach on a permanent basis.
The 45-year-old Norwegian was appointed as temporary coach of the Red Devils, after Jose Mourinho was sacked in December last year. Under Solskjaer’s management, the previously languishing club has won 14 out of 19 games thus far.
Due to these recent successful performances, Man United currently rank fifth on the Premier League log.
According to reports, it is believed that the club are ready to appoint Solskjaer full-time, and that they will make the announcement about the appointment this week.
Nemanja Matic, a defensive midfielder for the Red Devils, said in a recent interview that a decision to make Solskjaer a permanent coach would be welcomed.
He said: “I think [Solskjaer] is a great manager … I will be happy if he stays, and I hope he will.”
