Solskjaer: Pogba is Happy at Man United
Manchester United coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, insists that star midfielder, Paul Pogba, will remain at the club amid reports that he is keen on a transfer to Real Madrid.
While on international duty last week, the 26-year-old Frenchman revealed at a pre-match press conference that playing for Real Madrid under returning manager, Zinedine Zidane, would be “a dream for anybody who likes football”.
In turn, Zidane praised Pogba’s abilities before adding: “If, when [Pogba] finishes his experience at United, he wants to come here, why shouldn’t he come to Real Madrid?”
However, Solskjaer has played down any rumours of a potential transfer.
In a recent interview with a media outlet, the Red Devils’ coach explained: “I have had my chat with [Pogba] and we’re fine. He is going to do his utmost here, because he knows I am very fond of him as a player and as a person.”
Solskjaer reiterated: “[Pogba] is important for us here, so there are no issues. He is happy here.”
