SK adds more ‘Fifty Shades’ screenings
Ster Kinekor has announced that it will add more pre-release screenings of the highly anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey.
The cinema chain has a Girlfriends Getaway pre-release screening for the film set for February 12, 2015, at six different sites across the country, and tickets are completely sold out.
Due to the immense demand, Ster Kinekor has decided to add an ‘additional’ cinema screening to each of the six sites.
The film which tells the story of Anastasia Steele – a literature student who falls for the wealthy Christian Grey. However, Christian has terms and conditions due to his need to control everything and introduces Anastasia to BDSM which totally changes her life.
According to Ster Kinekor’s Marketing Executive Doug Place, pre-sales for the film are already breaking records. "In addition to the ‘Girlfriends’ Getaway’ ticket sales, pre-sales for the film online are also breaking records, as couples book for the hottest film on circuit this year, for Valentine’s Day."
According to Ster Kinekor, Fifty Shades of Grey will be the company’s ‘widest opening’ in history.
Fifty Shades of Grey is set to open nationwide on February 13, 2015.
