Sissoko Officially Joins Tottenham
French international, Moussa Sissoko, has officially revealed that he has joined English Premier League club, Tottenham Hotspur, on new five year contract.
Suspicions were running high about Sissoko, and yesterday we reported that he was expected to make the move to Tottenham.
However, another club that was also in the running to bag Sissoko was Everton.
But Sissoko himself shut down rumours about a possible move to Everton when he posted a picture of himself holding a Tottenham shirt onto his official Twitter account.
His caption to the photo read:
“…Very happy to join Spurs for the next five years [sic]”
Reports are suggesting that the battle between Everton and Tottenham became intense, as Everton originally made the offer of £30 million and thought the had secured Sissoko.
However, Tottenham then swooped in and matched their multi-million pound bid, which then in turn meant that it was up to Sissoko to decide his own fate.
And he chose Tottenham.
The 27-year old has had a terrific season both at club level and internationally.
