Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’ getting a new film
William Shakespeare’s well known play Macbeth is getting a film adaptation starring X-Men: First Class star Michael Fassbender as the title character.
The first trailer has landed for the upcoming film adaptation and you can watch it below.
Besides Fassbender, the film also stars Oscar Winner Marion Cotillard (Inception) as Lady Macbeth.
If you’ve read the play, then you’ll know that Macbeth follows the titular hero who changes his tune after three witches foretell him of a prophecy that he will one day be king.
Consumed by this revelation, Macbeth together with his wife Lady Macbeth plot to kill the current king to which they succeed. With the now dead king, Macbeth gets his wish and is given the throne leading to a series of consequences to follow.
