Sadio Mane Inks New Deal with Liverpool
Liverpool forward, Sadio Mane, has signed what is believed to be a five-year deal with the club.
The 26-year-old Senegal international confirmed the news on Thursday, 22 November, during an interview with an online soccer publication.
He said: “I am very happy, very happy to extend my time at Liverpool. It is a great day for me and now I am looking forward to everything – to helping the team, to helping the club achieve our dreams and, especially, to win trophies”
The forward added: “I came [to Liverpool] and was very happy. For me, I have made the best decision in my career.”
Mane joined the Reds from Southampton in 2016 for £34 million. Since then, he has scored 40 goals from 89 appearances for the club, including netting six goals in 11 Premier League games this season.
He was also named on the 30-man shortlist for the prestigious Ballon d’Or award last month, alongside his teammate, Mohamed Salah.
