SA Kids Have Themselves a Very Merry Christmas Party
Lucky learners at a pre-school in Cape Town, South Africa, were treated to a special Christmas party earlier this week.
The Philippi Children’s Centre accommodates 260 children between the ages of four months and six years – all of whom live on farms in the surrounding communities of disadvantaged areas such as Mitchells Plain and Philippi.
Thanks to the leadership team of the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC) – as well as the kindness of local companies – these children got to enjoy a festive celebration on Monday, 25 November.
Activities included playing on three jumping castles, face-painting, and a visit from Santa Claus. In addition to a lunch consisting of boerewors rolls and cupcakes, the children were also gifted a packet of sweets, a colouring book with crayons, an activity book and a small toy.
Sweleni Ntuli, the principal of the centre, said: “We are extremely grateful that the TMACC team reached out to us. The children were so excited. They couldn’t wait to come out of their classrooms for the party!”
