SA Box Office: ‘Annie’ remake on top

The Annie remake debuted at number one at the South African box office this weekend. The film, which has now been remade for a second time stars Quvenzhané Wallis, Jamie Foxx, Rose Byrne and Cameron Diaz.

Fury, which made its debut at number three stars Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf and Logan Lerman and tells the story of a five-man tank crew who venture on a mission behind enemy lines in Nazi-Germany.

Taylor Lautner actioner Tracers debuted at number five while the oldest film on the chart, Big Hero 6 moves down to number nine and has so far accumulated R17,791,431.
