Rooney To Make Decision About His Future ‘Soon’

Manchester United stalwart, Wayne Rooney, has told reporters that he is close to making a decision on his future and that all will be revealed “soon”.

Rooney’s future has been a talking point for the past few months.

Rooney spent most of his time on the bench this season, only being called to the pitch in the dying minutes of a game. He was also recently excluded from the English national squad, a squad he has captained on several occasions..

However, the 31-year-old insists that nothing is set in stone, and that as soon as he has made a decision, he will let the media know.

“I’ve got decisions to make now over the next few weeks, have a word with my family, and then I’ll decide…I think I just have to make a decision in terms of a football decision, and that’s what I’ll do, [sic]” he told reporters after United’s Europa League win on Wednesday evening.

Rooney has been linked with a possible move to China for several months now. He has been very open about the amount of offers he has been receiving from China as well as offers from other, English clubs.

The father of three said that, ultimately, he will have to decide whether he is happy playing in a ‘supporting role’ at Manchester United, or whether he wants to be the star of the show at another club.
