Rooney Says He is Still Committed to United
Wayne Rooney has made it clear that his heart is still with Manchester United, even after he smashed the club’s all-time goal-scoring record over the weekend.
While many may have thought that Rooney would be on the lookout for greener pastures now that he has broken Man United’s record – there have been rumours about a move to China – the 31-year-old superstar has said that he is still committed to delivering his services to the Red Devils.
“Of course, I’m committed to the club…I’ve been at the club a long time and you know football is a strange game and anything can happen, things change very quickly, but I’m happy at Manchester United,” he said.
When asked whether or not he is frustrated over the fact that he does not have a regular starting spot with the club at the moment, Rooney admitted that he would like to play more games, but that he has no intention of moving clubs.
“Of course, as I’ve said before, I want to play more games, but I’m in a happy place at the moment,” he said.
