Ronaldo Blames Zidane

October 31, 2017

Cristiano Ronaldo has pointed the finger at Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane, after their shocking loss on Sunday.

The football world was stunned when Real Madrid lost 2-1 to Girona, who are playing in the La Liga top flight for the first time.

According to Spanish newspapers, Ronaldo thinks that Real Madrid’s opponents have learnt to predict Zidane’s tactics.

The Portuguese international wants this loss to be a wake-up call for the French manager to change his strategy.

Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, reportedly agrees with Ronaldo, and has already made a shortlist of candidates to replace Zidane if things don’t improve.

After their defeat, Zidane said: “I don’t think we played badly, we didn’t lack intensity or effort, we just lost focus at the most important moments and that’s why I’m annoyed.”

The loss has left Real Madrid eight points behind their rivals, Barcelona, and third on the La Liga table.
