Romelu Lukaku Open to Joining Juventus
Manchester United striker, Romelu Lukaku, has admitted that he is open to leaving the club and joining Serie A champions, Juventus.
The 25-year-old Belgian – who has started 10 of the Red Devils’ 11 games and has scored four goals in the Premier League this season – has only four years remaining in his contract with the club.
Despite there being no suggestions that Lukaku wants to leave the club before the end of his current deal, he has openly admitted his admiration for Juventus.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday before Belgium’s friendly against the Netherlands, Lukaku said: “Juve have a great project in place and they just keep going. Every year they try to get stronger.”
He added: “Without doubt, Juve are one of the two or three best teams in Europe. They’ve got a great coach on the bench and extraordinary players in every area of the team.”
Manchester United are set to host Juventus on Tuesday, 23 October, in the Champions League group stage.
