Robbers Break Into Magistrate Court
It has been confirmed that there was a break-in at the Harare Magistrate’s Court last Thursday and that the robbers made off with electronic goods.
The Harare Magistrate’s court has confirmed that there was, in fact, a break-in at court amidst rumours circulating the past week.
Chief magistrate, Mishrod Guvamombe, said that the robbers broke into the building on Thursday evening and that they stole a laptop and a printer which came to the value of $1500.
“Yes, there was a break in at Rotten Row Magistrates courts last (Thursday) night and the thieves broke into regional magistrate reception on fifth floor,” he said.
He continued saying that the police are now dealing with the matter and are trying to track down the criminals:
“The matter has been reported to the police and they are looking into it right now so we are yet to gather more information.”
