Richard Gere to Become Father at 69
Hollywood actor Richard Gere is set to become a father again at the age of 69.
The “Pretty Woman” star’s wife, Alejandra Silva, confirmed on Instagram that they are expecting their first child.
She uploaded a picture of the couple with the Dalai Lama, who is shown with his hand on Silva’s stomach.
In the caption, Silva wrote: “A very special moment just a few minutes ago … getting blessings for our precious [child] to come … we couldn’t announce it before telling HH Dalai Lama.”
Gere met the 35-year-old businesswoman when the actor stayed at Silva’s family-owned hotel in Positano, Italy, in 2014. They tied the knot in April this year at his ranch outside of New York.
At 69, this will be Gere’s second child. He has an 18-year-old son, Homer, from his marriage to model and actress Carey Lowell, which ended in 2013 after 11 years.
