Report: Manchester United Want £80 million for De Gea
Manchester United will certainly not be relinquishing star goalkeeper, David de Gea, go for a small fee.
According to reports, Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has set the price for the 26-year-old star at £80 million.
De Gea has been linked with a move to Champions League winners, Real Madrid, for the past three years and several reports have suggested that he may finally join the Spanish club during the current transfer window.
De Gea himself has said previously that he would love to play in the La Liga tournament and return to his home country of Spain.
IN 2015, Manchester United were on the brink of signing a transfer deal with Real Madrid for De Gea. However, that deal fell through at the last minute, and De Gea signed another extension on his contract with The Red Devils.
Reporters asked Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, after the Vikings Champions League victory on Saturday about possibly acquiring the services of De Gea, but the Spaniard kept mum on the subject.
“De Gea is a great goalkeeper who plays for United… don’t know where he will play next season because I’m not a fortune teller [sic],” he said.
Other reports have suggested that Real Madrid may offer United their winger, Gareth Bale, in exchange for De Gea, but neither team has commented on this.
Neither Jose Mourinho nor Manchester United’s club management has made any official statement regarding the transfer rumours surrounding David de Gea.
