Real Madrid’s Rodriguez Rearing for Red Devils Move

December 10, 2019

Real Madrid midfielder, James Rodriguez, is reportedly keen on moving to English Premier League outfit, Manchester United.

The 28-year-old Colombian footballer – who signed with Los Blancos in 2014 for £63 million – has made only nine appearances for the Spanish club after falling out of favour with manager Zinedine Zidane.

Fellow La Liga outfit, Atletico Madrid, were previously interested in signing Rodriguez in the summer.

However, according to Atletico’s president, Enrique Cerezo, the midfielder refused the offer, as he is eager to play for United instead.

Real Madrid are apparently fixed on bringing Paul Pogba from the Red Devils to Spain next year, and are prepared to offer both Rodriguez and Gareth Bale on a permanent basis in exchange to make the deal as attractive as possible.

Rodriguez is currently out of action with a knee injury – time will tell which club he will find himself playing at once he has fully recovered.
