Real Madrid Win Champions League

June 05, 2017

Saturday’s game in Cardiff saw the Spanish giants lift the Champions League trophy for a whopping 12th time – the most in the history of the tournament.

Real Madrid thrashed Italian club, Juventus, 4-1 in an outstanding performance that saw superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, crowned as Man of the Match, once again.

Ronaldo scored the opening goal of the match in the 20th minute, after which Juventus’ Mario Mandzukic retaliated with an excellent goal in the 27th minute.

The rest of the first half remained tense and both teams entered half-time with one goal.

However, Real Madrid came back stronger in the second half as Brazilian international, Casemiro, put Real Madrid back in the lead in the 61st minute.

It wasn’t long before Ronaldo returned to the spotlight and scored the Vikings’ third goal in the 64th minute.

The final nail in the coffin came in the 90th minute of the game when Real Madrid’s Asensio scored the fourth and final goal, handing the Champions League trophy to the Spanish club for the second year in a row.

A lot of people praised the tactical work of Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, who has been an exceptional manager over the past few months.

He has managed to win both the Champions League and La Liga with the club within his first 18 months as head coach.
