Real Madrid Training Drama Heightens UCL Pressure

April 15, 2025

Tensions are running high ahead of Real Madrid’s upcoming UEFA Champions League (UCL) match against Arsenal, and it appears to have spilt over into the Spanish team’s training sessions.

According to recent reports, an altercation between team-mates Jude Bellingham and Antonio Rudiger took place during training last Friday, 11 April.

The incident, which occurred during a small-sided match, saw Rudiger allegedly make a tough tackle on Bellingham. This led to a heated argument between the two, which was eventually defused by their team-mates.

“They had to be separated, but in the end, everything was fine,” one report claims. “They shook hands, and it was just a result of the tension. It didn’t escalate beyond that.”

This altercation took place just two days after Arsenal beat Los Blancos 3-0 in the first leg of the UCL quarter-finals.

With the second leg set to take place tomorrow, Wednesday 16 April, the Spaniards will need to keep their cool, as well as channel their focus and energy positively, if they hope to overturn the deficit against the Gunners.
