Real Madrid Targets Man City’s Raheem Sterling

August 29, 2018

Real Madrid have reportedly renewed their interest in signing Manchester City winger, Raheem Sterling.

Sterling left Liverpool to join Man City for £49 million in 2015, and has since become a key player for the Citizens.

However, Sterling has less than two years remaining on his present contract. Negotiations regarding a new contract deal reportedly broke down in June of this year.

According to media reports, Real Madrid are closely monitoring the 23-year-old player’s form.

They will also have club representatives in the crowd at Wembley when England faces Spain in the UEFA Nations League on 8 September – Sterling is also a midfielder on the English national team.

However, it is understood that no bids are expected to be made before the transfer window closes across Europe this Friday.

Instead, Real will supposedly use this season to track Sterling’s performance and determine his value.
