Rasmus Hojlund Marked for AC Milan Move

August 14, 2025

Rasmus Hojlund appears poised for an AC Milan switch after accepting that he has no future at Manchester United.

The 22-year-old Danish striker, who joined from Atalanta in 2023 for roughly €80 million, has fallen down the pecking order following United’s summer additions of Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

New coach Ruben Amorim is reportedly not counting on him, and the club has told him he must leave to secure playing time.

According to reports, Milan have intensified talks and received a positive response from Hojlund, who is open to a return to Serie A. The proposed deal is a loan with an option to buy, but the price is still being ironed out.

Milan want to pay around €4 million for the loan with an approximately €32 million buyout, while Man U are asking for €8 million and a total package worth €45 million, including bonuses.

Milan are also monitoring alternatives such as Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface, Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson, and Nikola Krstovic from Lecce. Despite interest from Bayern Munich, Hojlund is believed to firmly favour Milan, with both clubs aiming to finalise terms before rival suitors emerge.
