Possible January Exit Troubles Ozil

October 10, 2019

Mesut Ozil reportedly thinks he is playing his final games with Arsenal as he experiences being left out of matchday squads often, while the club figures out plans to subsidise his weekly wages.

The 30-year-old German star has struggled to make the bench for the Gunners this season, and thinks they will offload him in the January transfer window.

His not-so-secret falling out of favour with team manager, Unai Emery – along with the club making efforts to subsidise his weekly £350 000 wages – don’t appear to ease his fears, either.

Since first joining Arsenal in 2013, Ozil has made it clear that he does not want to leave the side and that he enjoys his life in London.

Despite the star midfielder’s talents, the Gunners boss Emery has consistently said that Ozil does not “deserve” to play ahead of some of the team’s younger players.

However, his former club, Fenerbahce, have offered him some hope as they want to take him on loan in the new year.

Time will tell what becomes of Ozil and his future in club football.
