Pics: Trevor Noah at the Met Gala
Trevor Noah spent the night among major Hollywood royalty at his first Met Gala last night, sharing the red carpet with major fashion icons and celebrities such as Anna Wintour, Beyonce, Justin Bieber, Jay Z, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry and Madonna.
Noah – who was recently announced as Jon Stewart’s replacement on The Daily Show – joked "It’s the Met Gala, and I’m invited. I think they made a mistake" in a pre-event post on his Instagram account.
The Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of fashion’s biggest events, with tickets costing $25 000 for those who aren’t lucky enough to crack an invite.
And of course, high fashion events require high fashion outfits – and so Noah also shared this tweet before the event:
