Peter Crouch Extends Contract with Stoke City
Stoke City have confirmed that English footballer, Peter Crouch, has extended his contract with the English Premier League club for another year.
The new contract extension will see the the 35-year old striker stay with the club until the end of the 2017/2018 EPL season.
Crouch has been with the club for six years, after he first joined Stoke in August of 2011.
At the time, Crouch was a record signing for the Staffordshire club after they signed him on for £10 million.
And while many critics believe that Crouch’s playing career might be dying down, it seems that his club is still firmly behind him and believe that he still has a lot to offer.
Tony Scholes, Chief Executive of Stoke City, recently said in a statement that Crouch still has a lot to offer Stoke:
“…Peter still has a great deal to offer us as a player and we are pleased he has decided to extend his stay with us,” he said.
Crouch has appeared 186 times for Stoke and has scored a total of 49 goals in his six years with the club.
