Orlando Pirates Nominated For CAF Award
South African Premier League club, Orlando Pirates, have been nominated for a rather prestigious CAF award.
They have been nominated in the Club Of The Year category. Also nominated in the same category is USM Algers of Algeria and Congolese club, TP Mazembe as well as Tunisian club, Etoile du Sahel.
The Pirates had a stellar season this season which saw them have a more than impressive run in the Confederations Cup.
Unfortunately, the Pirates lost in the final of the Confederations Cup to their Club of The Year contenders, Etoile du Sahel.
Back in 2001, another SOuth African club, the Kaizer Chiefs, won the Club of The Year award.
The CAF awards will be held in Nigeria on the 7th of January next year.
