Nottingham Issues Ticket Warning Ahead of Europa League Clash
Nottingham Forest FC have warned its fans against purchasing tickets for the home sections at Real Betis’ stadium.
The Reds will face Real Betis in UEFA Europa League action at Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville, Spain on Wednesday, 24 September. This marks the English club’s first European campaign in 30 years.
In a recent statement posted on their official website, Nottingham confirmed that their supporters had been buying tickets for areas of the stadium reserved for home fans.
“We must be clear: it is against regulations for visiting supporters to be located in the home sections of the stadium in Spain,” the statement reads.
“Any Nottingham Forest supporter identified in the home areas will be ejected from the stadium immediately. Supporters found to have purchased or used tickets for the home section will face sanctions from the club, which may include restrictions on future ticket purchases.”
They emphasised that they will be working alongside Real Betis, UEFA and the Spanish authorities to enforce “these rules … [which] exist to protect your safety and to ensure the matchday environment remains secure for all fans.”
