No Injuries Found On Zanele
According to various reports from South Africa, Minister Moyo’s late daughter, Zanele, did not have any injuries on her body when she was found deceased in her bathtub in her flat in Cape Town.
Zanele, who was a second-year student at the University of Cape Town, was found dead in her bathtub last Saturday. It is not yet known what the cause of her death was.
Spokesperson for the South African police, Frederick Van Wyk, told reporters yesterday that there were no signs of external injuries on Zanele’s body.
Previous reports had stated that ZAnele had an external injury on her forehead and that there was blood found on the floor of her apartment. It is not yet verified whether this is true or not.
Minister Moyo, who is still currently in South Africa, is being accompanied by Zimbabwean businessman Philip Chiyangwa and other family members. It is believed that Zanele’s body has been released to the family.
The two men who are wanted in connection with Zanele’s death – a so-called Stephen and Leo – have been tracked down, with Stephen being in his home country of Zambia.
According to Chiyangwa, he personally spoke to Stephen, who assured him that he is not in Zambia to run away, but rather to bury his own father. He promised to hand himself over to the Cape Town police before the end of the week.
