Nipsey Hussle, 33, Shot Dead
Rapper Nipsey Hussle has died aged 33, after he was fatally shot yesterday, 31 March, in front of the clothing shop that he owned.
According to reports, the “Victory Lap” hitmaker – real name Ermias Davidson Asghedom – was shot multiple times at close range outside Marathon Clothing in Los Angeles, California. The gunman then fled in a getaway car.
Hussle was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital. Two other men were critically wounded in the shooting, but are currently in a stable condition.
Tributes have since poured in for the slain rapper, including from the likes of Drake, Rihanna and Snoop Dogg.
Eric Garcetti, the mayor of Los Angeles, also tweeted out his condolences: “Our hearts are with the loved ones of Nipsey Hussle and everyone touched by this awful tragedy. LA is hurt deeply each time a young life is lost to senseless gun violence.”
Hussle leaves behind two children with his fiance, actress Lauren London.
An investigation into Hussle’s murder is currently underway.
